| The Executive Information workshops for IT-Managers in 2007/2008 was jointly held by AddOn and VMware Inc. The topic was "Virtualization of SAP System landscapes" and was met with much interest. More that two hundred IT leaders participated in the seminars, at the locations in Walldorf, Munich, Cologne, Boeblingen and Zurich, and were informed about the possibilities that virtualized infrastructure offer to SAP systems. In order to live up to the strong ongoing requests for these workshops, AddOn now offers IT decision makers this possibility throughout 2008 - without further commitments, on an objective basis.
Many Organizations use large server landscapes for running their critical enterprise businesses. A detailed analysis shows that their available server processing resources are only being used to a small extent. The results are high energy costs, air-conditioning, oversized computer centers and intense administration. For many organizations there is a solution: virtualization of the IT infrastructure. A virtualization must optimize the use of resources, the handling of hardware must be simplified and the accessibility and flexibility must be improved. The catch: the strategic goals can be reached by markedly lowered IT costs. Together with VMware, AddOn offers regular expert talks until the end of 2008, in the Virtualization Competence Center in Walldorf. By using practical examples, AddOn consultants can illustrate opportunities and limits of virtualization technology for your organization. In 2007 many IT decision makers used this opportunity for first hand information on successful visualization concepts. By using case studies, strategy consultants show who benefits from such a change and what the best strategies for a successful migration are. This workshop form proved to be very popular amongst IT decision makers. More than two hundred IT managers used this opportunity at the end of 2007 and at the beginning of 2008, by attending an Executive Information workshop - the prospects and possibility of running SAP systems on a virtualized infrastructure were explained and described. The ten scheduled seminars were not enough to sufficiently cover the large interest in this topic. Consequently, AddOn is now offering these seminars on a regular basis until the end of 2008. AddOn can now satisfy the IT management need concerning this topic, in an objective, practically orientated way.
